The Ekologija.com.hr portal launched, on June 30, a petition for total ban of use of plastic bags in Croatia. The petition, which has collected slightly over 1,000 signatures so far, will stay online for as long as there is interest in the public to endorse it. The petition can be signed on the Ekologija.com.hr portal.
Thirteen organizations in 36 cities and towns and 105 rural areas in Bosnia and Herzegovina, with the assistance of the Swiss Cooperation Office and the Heinrich Boll Foundation, implements the “101 Reasons Why Vote for Women” campaign. The campaign, aiming to present the BiH public with advantages of involvement of women in national political life and the negative consequences of their exclusion from decision-making processes, started in April, and will last until the end of October 2010.
